Three Local Restaurants to Try in Costa Mesa

As social distancing measures continue to inform daily routines and decisions, local restaurants will continue to face unforeseen challenges and adapt to the economic climate. It is up to us to do everything we can to keep our favorite places running smoothly despite everything going on in the world.

Luckily, there are some excellent restaurants in Costa Mesa for you to try. Here are three of our favorites that we think you’ll absolutely adore.

Habana

This Cuban restaurant has all the empanadas, burgers, seafood, and steaks you could ever wish for, and they are absolutely delicious. Habana is one of the most popular restaurants in Costa Mesa, and it’s easy to see why with their beautiful atmosphere and lush greenery. They also have some of the best drinks, offering plenty of sangria and mojitos to their customers.

For easy curbside pickup, they have an online ordering system that allows you to order with no physical contact from anyone else. You won’t regret trying their veggie empanadas.

Seabirds

Seabirds Kitchen is another restaurant we would love for you to try. This place is the dream vegan restaurant for vegans and their nonvegan friends alike. They have such delicious options you wouldn’t even guess everything was plant-based if you didn’t already know. 

Originally a food truck, Seabirds has expanded into two restaurant locations and creates dishes based on seasonal produce and locally grown fruits and vegetables. Our absolute favorite item on their menu is the “Beer Battered Avo Taco,” which has a slice of fried avocado, red onion, lime, and their spicy dressing. That taco will blow your mind.

Sidecar Donuts

For our fellow sweet tooths, we couldn’t help but recommend Sidecar Donuts , our absolute favorite dessert place in Costa Mesa. They feature some of the most innovative donut flavors out there, like a huckleberry donut and a chocolate chip cookie dough donut. We are convinced that you will find a donut catered to your taste buds!

Sidecar Donuts also has a convenient online ordering system that makes curbside pickup easy and safe. There’s no reason not to treat yourself to some delicious goodies.
